Abstract
Problem Statement
This project aims at designing a total integrated human resource management system (HRMS) to be utilized in addressing a variety of important human resource functions. It will also make it easier to do such things as work force processes such as employee management, payroll processing, attendance tracking, leave management, performance evaluations, etc. with the system. One of the primary components of the system is Employee Management, which will enable the addition, editing, and deletion of employee details, including personal information, job roles, contact details, and employment history. HR will also be able to track changes, for example, promotions and changes of roles over an employee’s career using the system. Attendance management will help in real time tracking of employee attendance, working hours and leave requests. The system will include functions for left applying, approved and monitoring leave balance. Payroll Management system will automatically calculate salaries depending on the performance measures, attendance, and deductions or allowances (such as tax or insurance). It already generates and distributes pay slips to its employees thus simplifying payroll responsibilities. Leave Management is the recording of the leaved history and balances of various leaves such as year off, sick, casual, etc. The project also includes an Employee Self Service (ESS) Portal that will help staff to update their personal data, take care of their profiles, apply for leave, view attendance logs, and get views on their pay stubs. Performance management will allow HR to evaluate an employee’s performance through goal setting, progress evaluation and feedback gathering while laying foundation of a culture for continuous improvement. Furthermore, Reports and Analytics will allow the generation of detailed insights on key HR metrics, including attendance, payroll, and performance. All data is protected by role- based access controls with secure logins and data encryption to make sure that only the people authorized to can access specific data.
Many Pakistani SMEs struggle to manage HR operations efficiently due to the high cost and complexity of existing HRMS solutions. These systems are often designed for large enterprises, making them inaccessible to smaller companies with limited budgets and hybrid work setups. There is a pressing need for a simplified, cost-effective HR platform that supports core HR functions and is scalable for future growth. This project addresses that gap by providing an affordable, user-friendly HRMS with SaaS potential tailored to local business needs.
