UniGo
Abstract
Problem Statement
UniGo is a ride-sharing platform tailored for university communities, enabling students, faculty, and staff to connect with others traveling along similar routes. The platform facilitates real-time ride-matching to promote convenience, reduce travel expenses, and optimize commuting time compared to rigid university bus schedules. By fostering a collaborative transportation model within academic institutions, UniGo enhances mobility while contributing to a more sustainable and efficient campus environment.
University commuters often face challenges with inflexible and overcrowded transportation options, leading to wasted time, increased costs, and inconvenience. Traditional bus schedules rarely align with individual timetables, resulting in inefficiencies for students and staff. There is a need for a dynamic, user-driven solution that adapts to real-time travel needs while fostering community engagement. UniGo addresses this by offering a dedicated ride-sharing platform that connects university members with shared routes, providing a cost-effective and time-saving alternative to conventional transit systems.
